MCA Canada Conference Will Feature Maritime Lobster Feast!

MCA Canada‟s Chairman Bob Hoare invites you to join us in Canada‟s ocean playground, Halifax, Nova Scotia for this year‟s 69th Annual National Conference themed, Gathering of the MCA Clans. The 2010 event will feature a delightful mix of highly entertaining social programs wrapped around outstanding guest speakers and unique educational content. Wednesday starts with the MSCC One-Day Forum for Service Contractors, the MCA Canada program kicks off in the evening with a Welcome to Halifax Reception followed immediately by dinner and the “Battle of the Clans” Highland Games. Test yourself against the other Clans in an evening you won‟t soon forget! Thursday’s breakfast features outstanding guest speaker Gordon Graham who‟s story you just have to hear to believe, followed by educational sessions on Hiring Smart and How to Manage, and Manage to, Expectations. A special tour of historic Halifax has been booked for conference companions. Of course, a visit to Halifax has to include a “Downeast Lobster Feast” which will be hosted at the famous Pier 21 Immigration Museum overlooking Halifax Harbour.

Friday, it‟s down to business with the Suppliers Innovation Showcase, the Annual General Meeting and committee meetings for the Associate Members, the open shop contractors and the unionized contractors. Companions will be included in Friday‟s program with another session dedicated to entertain them. With the business of the day done, its off to the Annual John Bradshaw Memorial Golf Tournament. For those not golfing, tour the amazing mix of historical architecture, rich culture and natural maritime beauty of Halifax. Friday evening is a free night to enjoy friends and family.

Saturday will feature the 2010 edition of the highly anticipated “Mechanical Contractors Network Awards Breakfast” where much deserved awards will be represented wrapped in an entertaining Maritime TV format. Companions will then depart for a scenic tour of Peggy‟s Cove while delegates will learn discover how to “Turn Your Project Managers into Business Managers" and "Improving Construction Productivity" sessions. The afternoon will be a time to explore, relax and prepare for the farewell „„Chairman’s Reception and Gala Dinner Dance‟‟. You won‟t soon forget your four days in Halifax!
