Plumbers install, alter, and repair the systems that keep our water and waste dispoal systems running. They make sure many of our basic daily activities are possible, from getting a drink of water from the kitchen sink, or having a shower. Plumbing is a nationally designated trade under the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program (external link).

There is a potential for plumbers to make up to, and including, $70,000/year after their apprenticeship!

What is the Career Outlook Like?

The demand for plumbers in BC has never been higher! The current workforce will be retiring in huge numbers over the next five years, and skilled tradespeople are needed to replace them.

There are many options available, as well. You can be a journeyman plumber, a foreman, project manager, estimator, or even owner of your own business!
